Sure would like insight from anyone dealing with this kind of issue. I've made sure W10 has done all its updates. Guess what? It sees my tape printer on the LabelWriter Duo! (But not on the Duo 450).Īnd it's running the Dymo Label 8.5.4 software (the older version, the newest is 8.7 something.)Īnyway, it seems odd that the same printer works on one W10 Pro PC but not on another. It's one of those tiny self-contained PCs that's built into a little 4.5" X 4.5" X 1.5" case. This versatile Duo is able to play the right music for any type of occasion in New York City, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. Here's a twist: While bringing my "old" PC back to life, I was using a nifty new Intel NUC 8i5BEK. So I installed W10 on a brand new SSD and got the PC running again.Įverything else works, but neither my LabelWriter 450 Duo nor my older LabelWriter Duo tape parts will show up. The 6 year old SSD with my OS failed and I didn't have a clone. Well, I switched to my old LabelWriter DUO and it started working with both tape and paper labels (upper and lower printers both working).Īs things would naturally go, the PC I use for everything crapped out. They later notified me that it's a common W10 issue and a future Windows update might resolve it. Newest version and Dymo Connect would not resolve it.ĭymo tech support eventually sent me a new LabelManager 280 tape printer when they couldn't resolve my issues. My LabelWriter 450 Duo, tape part (bottom printer) stopped being seen by my Windows 10 PC running Dymo Label V8 software. The tape part of my Dymo printer is something I use almost every day at work, and it's something I really need.
